Another of Candace Bushnell's insipid books, that I can not stop myself from reading. It is not that I have to read her books, it is that, I must read some books that have no redeeming values. And one things for certain, Bushnell's books have absolutely no redeeming values.

This book follows the life of the wealthy and the posers who pretend to be. There's the hedgefund manager who's so fabulously wealthy he and wife Anna Lisa buy the most expensive penthouse in the building. Paul is so obnoxious about everything that he gets into an all out war with the building's president of the board.

The president of the board is an overcompensating shrew. Mindy Gooch is the editor of a magazine and a blogtress. She wants what the Rice's have, but her husband is a failed writer. However, when he finally writes a book that is about to rival Dan Brown's, that amps up the craziness. She not only fueds with Paul Rice, she takes her new power to another level when she is snubbed by Enid Merle aunt of Phillip Oakland the former wunderkind screenwriter.

Phillip decides he needs an assistant and in sashays the fabulous Lola Fabrikant. The 22 year old rich girl who upon interview knows that she will seduce Mr. Oakland. What she doesn't know is that Phillip Oakland still has feelings for his former flame the actress, Schiffer Diamond.

And round and round this story goes. Why leave your house for drama, when you can find it in your building?
